Job Title: Physiotherapist
Location: Home Based, travel where required within the North East
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum 
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week between Monday - Friday. 9am-5pm

Role Summary:

To provide a leading Occupational Health Physiotherapy Service to clients with the aim of early return to work. This involves a positive bio-psychosocial approach combining functional assessment with evidence-based treatment which is underpinned with excellent clinical care. The role will provide the following services on a remote basis; triage phone calls, supported self-management, functional restoration programmes, DSE & Workplace assessments.

The post holder must be able to cover on-site working in clinics across the North East where required, and may be required to work 1pm-9pm when covering a specific client. On average, you will be travelling once or twice a week. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate, detailed, and appropriate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to employees on a remote or face-to-face basis.
  • Identify, assess, and advise on any workplace hazards or contributing factors to Musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Conduct workplace assessments such as DSE or work-based tasks as and when required and provide advice and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Always maintain clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with occupational health guidance.
  • Deliver effective evidence-based rehabilitation that adheres to national clinical standards.
  • Utilise a bio-psychosocial approach combined with functional assessment to address barriers to work and inform robust work recommendations.

 

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required for the Role:

  • Clinical Physiotherapy Qualification.
  • Full Member of the CSP & Registered member of HCPC is essential.
  • Post-graduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics.
  • 2 years Physiotherapy experience or 12 months Occupational Health/Ergonomics experience
  • Experience of providing functional assessment and fitness for work advice.
  • Driver license & access to a vehicle.
